This example demonstrates the design steps in the earthing mat/grid in the substation.
There are software for this purpose which build on this standard.
You may use it for studying earthing. The standard is available through your institution electronic library or college.
Large industrial facilities too require proper earthing for safety and proper operation of protection devices.
