I want to be able to import drawings made in other software.

From the Mathcad Prime 10 Help:
To Insert an Image
1.In a worksheet, click where you want to insert an image.
2.On the Math tab, in the Regions group, click Image. The Browse for Image button appears.
3.Click Browse for Image. The Open dialog box opens.
4.Click the file to open, and then click Open. The selected image is inserted. You can resize the image or move it around on the page.

Giving my own blog article a shout-out: https://www.mathcad.com/en/blogs/inserting-images-into-mathcad-prime

If you do want to keep a "Link" to another file (Mathcad updates when the file updates), you can use Insert Object.
Otherwise there the best option is the Browse for Image button. Especially great for if the image you're importing is final and you won't be editing it anymore.

Make sure the drawings made in the other software have been exported in a standard file type.

I manage the Creo and PTC Mathcad YouTube channels for PTC, as well as all PTC Mathcad marketing in general.

Nice article, Dave.

This is what I got when I ollied(*) some different file types, including images:

2024 09 18 A.png

The rtf one took me by surprise, as it spread itself over several pages.

So, there is a way to display linked images within Mathcad Prime 10, but only if the file is saved in a limited number of file types (bitmap, in my case)

Stuart

(*)  Not a clue whether such a word is in use for inserting OLE objects, but it just kind of popped into my head.  And until I googled "ollied" just now, I had no idea I was overloading the word ... I don't think inserting OLE objects has anything to do with skateboarding, but who knows?

Hi @John_Buck,
