MathCAD 13 patch not working

I purchased MathCAD 13 about a year ago and just recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista. I am running a 64 bit OS so I did some research and found the upgrade patch in the downloads section from v13 to v13.1. Unfortunately, everytime I try to install the patch, I receive the error that the installer cannot find the program on my computer. I'm using the installer found here: http://www.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm And downloading the file named: "mc13EN_SR1.exe(9.83 MB)" Frankly, I'm stumped and am wondering whether anyone else has had a similar problem and if they found a fix for it.

The 13.1 patch predates Vista. Version 13 is not compatible with Vista, although I know some people have got it to work under some versions. I can't tell you how though because I have avoided Vista completely. Richard

I believe the incompatibility issues vary though, depending on which flavor of Vista you have and whether your copy of Mathcad runs under a single user or an Enterprise license. Go to the main Mathcad forum here (this is a backwater forum): http://collab.mathsoft.com/~mathcad2000 and ask the question again. There are regulars over there who have dealt with installing under Vista, and may be able to help. Richard
