Mathcad 14 - suddenly extremly slow (opening documents, copy equations etc.)

I was working on Mathcad yesterday and suddenly it got REALLY slow by opening other documents and trying to copy and clip other equations.

Why??? I am going on a examination tuesday, NOT what i need right now.

I tried to reinstall - does not help, and it is not because the files are to large or anything. What should i do??

Found out that somehow the internet connection is interfering with mathcad (dont know how?) but i turned it off and now it works. How come?

Are you using a notebook computer?

Pinging!  We found out several years ago to work off-line on massive 3D projects whenever possible.  At work, we blamed it on outlook pinging the server like 20 times a second (IT would not change the setting).  Work around was to load the files locally and disconnect the LAN cable.  At lunch and at the end of the day, we would upload our progress.

The added benefit was NO e-mails for most of the day, so very productive

You may b e running a new game or software that is pinging the network all of the time.  I'd check that first.
