Hello everyone!
I found a document in here containing a spreadsheet for calculating the motion of a triple pendulum and was quite excited to finally find an example of the physics behind this dynamical system. (Thank you rosenm!)
I'm a college student who have yet to learn about differential equations, so I'm not quite able to understand the math behind this system. So for simplicity I decided to try and "remove" the third pendulum from the system so I would end up with a double pendulum.
As it turns out, I wasn't so succesful in doing this!
So my question is if anyone would be kind enough to "remove" the third pendulum from this document so that I could study it without getting a major headache?
Thanks in advance!
(I know that simply removing the third pendulum won't simplify it enough for me to understand it, but I still find it very exciting to study it!)
You can try to start at the other end - to see how we simulate one pendulum (see here), and add to it the second.
Oh I didn't see that one. I will look into that one!
Thank you for the quick response!
You can try to translate into English by help http://translate.google.com my article about pendulum
Or you can only see its picture and study how can we modeling a pendulum moving in Mathcad.
