Hello community,
since today I use Mathcad 7 at my school. There is a computer network with Windows XP clients and domain.
For software installing I use enteo netinstaller.
On PC1 I can use on file menu "page setup", "page view" and "print".
Now I installed Mathcad on PC2 in another room because the close some rooms.
But on PC2 the three printing buttons are gray and I cannot click them.
Hi Christian,
just guessing: there's no printer installed on PC2...Can you print a (Notepad) text file from PC2?
Success!
Luc
Yes, there are the printers installed which where physically in the room of the clients.
But they are not the same as they in the other room.
Is it possible, that Mathcad pinned the printers of PC1 which are not available at PC2?
In Mathcad I cannot find the option to choose another printer.
Have you got a pdf writer or any sort of printer installed on PC2?
Mike
Yes, a PDF and two laser printer.
But in Mathcad I cannot change the to them.
Does this happen with all worksheets and I assume you can print from other programs.
Could try preparing the installation on that machine.
Mike
Yes it does, with new and existing. Yes I can print from other programs.
I can install / reinstall with Inteo Netinstaller only. I have no privilegs.

Unfortunately you might be out of luck until the administrator replies. If you are desperate to print your work you could copy the regions to a word document until the issue is resolved.

I have some new knowledges.
The printers which are available on all computers are "Bullzip PDF printer", "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" and "Microsoft XPS Document Writer".
So I defined "Bullzip" as default on PC1.
On PC2 another printer is the default. After starting Mathcad no printing available. Then I closed Mathcad.
After setting "Bullzip" to default on PC2 printing is available.
The click on print opens a new window where I can choose another temporary printer from a dropdown list.
At least you found a work-around, which isn't too taxing.
