Hi,
the problem is simple:
Is there a hidden option to set the default line thickness (weight) in an X-Y-plot to a user defined value ?
Thanks for your help

Assuming we are talking about Mathcad 15 you have to load your template file (usually normal.xmct in the template directory under the program dir) and go to "Format / Graph / X-Y Plot". If no graph is selected the changes you make here are valid for all graphs in that sheet that you generate thereafter and as it is the template file they effect in the future all graphs in all worksheets you create which are based upon that template.
Mathcad Prime 2.0 on the other side is a very, very unfinished product and as far I know there is no way to change any defaults pemanently.

First, set up the plot the way you want it.
There's a 'Defaults' tab on the 2D Format dialog box - tick the 'Use for Defaults' box. It seems as if these setting remain in force even if you delete the plot.
Which means that it might be possible to edit your normal.mcd / normal.xmcd template by creating a plot, setting the format you want, ticking the 'Use for Defaults' box and deleting the plot. This should mean that format will be available on every subsequent New worksheet.

We are developing templates for Mathcad Prime 3.0. In the meantime, you can create your own starting template and save your user settings. Trace thickness is not one of the current settings that can be stored in Mathcad Prime 2.0, unless you have a default plot that you use to paste into every new worksheet.

Hello,
On what version is it (Mathcad 14, 15 or Mathcad Prime 1.0, 2.0)?
