Mathcad operands and operators - to be inserted

-by introducing concept of operands in Mathcad is opened the path to create and define new operators based on already defined operators inside Mathca

Operand is the symbol used in mathematics as: ( ) (bracket, space, bracket)

If a operator contain more operands than each operand will be noted as ( )1 , ( )2, ....

We can define a operator by other operators as follows:

M( ):=d( )1/d( )2+( )1+( )2

in our case operator M(x,f):=df/dx+f+x

Upper example is a simple one about how to define new operators based on existing that mathcad could do.

Other example:

$:=( )1*( )2

writing this relation this mean that Mathcad further have to consider the symbol $ as a multiplication symbol.

a$b:=a*b

Could be this way a method of extend Mathcad capabilities to work also in Operators world ?

± you have to get used to Mathcad .

All what you want is there, but never used by any Mathcader, some exception [I did]. You can convert a lot of "YOUR personal Mathcad" to some of YOUR book style. Do you intend to convert Abramowitz & Stegun in your book style ? Do you intend by same token to convert other CAS to your bookstyle ? If you just want to rewrite a piece of your book in publisher style, Mathcad may not be the tool. It remains that if you have questions about Mathcad, the best way to get help is a work sheet.

By your suggesting Mathcad have to stop in a actual stage for next 10-30 years, as it stayed for last 5 years not adding many powerfull features.

Sure, with improvising almost all maybe you can done in Mathcad.

But we dont need improvising and intermediary steps to do something. Mathcad have to do directly some operations as per progress of science.

So we dont have only move legs staying in a place. Just need movements.

What you propose is as if we had to remain in stage of Fortran and Basic programming without to profit from the technology boost of C++

Especially if somebody come with a proposal that not contradict with previous tools, but add some shortcuts for work, that have to be implemented.

Untill year 2000 Mathcad had a fast spread between users because came with many new features and updates, improvements, friendly interface, flexibility, etc

But last 5 years Mathcad remained almost the same as if would had touch the absolute . But nope, still need many improvements...

I have replied to that one but don't see.

Got lost in the hay pile .
