On Mathcad 15 Tried to insert a control and nothing happens ! ! ! Causes anyone ? ? ?

I tried to insert a control from the insert pull down menu in Mathcad 15 and nothing happens. I tried re-installing the whole program and still nothing. Any ideas what I should try next?

Roberto, hello!

On what OS you work also what release Mathcad 15 you use (F000, M005, M010)?

OS - Windows XP

Mathcad Release - Mathcad 15.0 (M005 [MC15_M005_20101105])

Check if you have on your computer, the following components installed:

Mathcad_Requirements.JPG

All those components are there. One interesting thing that happened, the MDAC 2.8 says is incompatible with the windows version in my computer. . .

You could try updating your Microsoft Data Access Components.

With SP3?

Read about how to check for MDAC version:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301202/en

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=1953

Also quote from the Microsoft site:

"Windows XP SP2 or later versions of Windows also installs MDAC as an ‘out of box’ system component of the Windows operating system. Since MDAC in Windows XP SP2 or later is newer than the version (MDAC 2.8 SP1) in the last MDAC redistribution program, mdac_typ.exe no longer installs MDAC on Windows XP SP2 and later version."

P.S. When you install Mathcad 15, the installation program writes by the default installation log "ptcsetup.log" (in Win Vista it is in a directory "My documents"). Try to find this file ("ptcsetup.log") using Windows Search and to attach it to the message.
