Here is a dodecahedron, not using the methods and functions in Prof. Birkelands great E-book:

The method used can be seen in the following animation:

Remark: Instead of mirroring at the xy-plane and then rotating by 36 degree it would as well be possible to rotate the bottom half around the y-axis by 180 degree.

Prof. Birkeland also provides a function for drawing a dodecahedron. Here an example from chapter 4.13
