I got a new pc with windows 11 home and with an intel core i7 ultra. I installed mathcad prime 10.0.0.0 with the license from my university in denmark. When trying to export or save the document it crashes. I have tried contacting my university IT-support but they say they cant help because they dont work with the program. I have read on forums that updating to the version 10.0.1.0 solves the crashing problem. Unfortunately my university does not supply license to that version. What can i do?

Thank you all for the help. I managed to reset my computer from scratch and downloaded the program once more. Probably a rookie mistake but again thanks for the help, the problem is solved.
I am not aware of a crash problem which would be fixed in the interims version 10.0.1.0 but that does not mean that its not the case. After all PTC unfortunately does not provide a clear list of improvements in new versions.
But as far as I know, versions 10.0.0.0 and 10.0.1.0 share the very same license. If you are able to download 10.0.1.0 from the PTC HP you may try to install it and use the license file you already have.
As far as i know am i not able to utilize my university account to log onto ptc. I only have access to a page with software downloads supplied by my uni. Here i found and downloaded mathcad prime 10.0.0.0. So im very interested in finding out where the problem lies. If its my computer, the software or a licensing problem i have to contact the university about.
Thanks
What exactly is contained inside the worksheet you want to save/export?
I tried saving with several pages of engineering calculations. I have also tried saving an empty document several times. Either way it crashes when trying to save.
With a new PC, are you using a product like OneDrive?
Yes, i used onedrive to transfer files from the old pc. When downloadning mathcad i made sure to place it in a local folder though
I guess the question was meant to be: when saving Prime sheet files, are you saving to onedrive (or another remote storage) or to a local drive?
If saving to a local drive succeeds without crashing then the problem lies with accessing a remote file system.
Success!

Yes, Luc has articulated the essense behind my question. Since your problem seems somewhat unique among the many users of Prime 10, my suggestion is to download a fresh copy from PTC and then to do a complete install from a local flash drive.
As one who has the same issue i have tried reinstalling it several times with no luck still even when onedrive is turned of or even deleted i still chrashes, i have even tried to delete all files
Can you provide a link to the forum post which explains that the error/bug is fixed in 10.0.1.0 ?
I made a quick search here in the forum and also in the knowledgebase but wasn't able to find some hint about this error. But then that system is quite a messy pile of junk where you'd be very lucky to find anything useful.
If 10.0.1.0 really had fixed the problem, maybe someone from PTC (@DJNewman ??) could provide a download link for this version and can confirm, that the license file the user already has for 10.0.0.0 will be valid for this interims version as well.
As the user had written he has no access to PTC_s software downlaod page and can only access the software provided by his university and that's just 10.0.0.0.
Thank you all for the help. I managed to reset my computer from scratch and downloaded the program once more. Probably a rookie mistake but again thanks for the help, the problem is solved.
