I need a code to generate seismic response spectrum when you have ground motion data. Could you send to me in keshab.sharma@gmil.com.
Thank you very much in advanced.

Keshab
Keshab,
There is a useful collection of Mathcad worksheets written by Ian Ward on structural dynamics.
I see there is a calculation to GENERATE SECONDARY RESPONSE SPECTRA for given base inputs.

Hi,
I have tried to download these to use, but i only have mathcad express and the file is in the wrong format. Any advice on how I can get the files into the right format?
Thanks
Zoe
What you can download from www.dynamassist.com is a so called E-book. It consists of numerous Mathcad files usually referencing each other in a hyperlink manner. Prime does not support e-books. If you really are interested you could download the trial version of the current Mathcad15 and install it. Now you can convert the files (within the trial period of 1 month) - Mathcad15 must be installed for Prime or Prime Express to be able to convert files from Mathcad format (mcd, xmcd, xmcdz) to Prime format (mcdx).
I converted the one file which Vladimir posted in his answer for you in Prime4 format and attach it here.
It uses scripted components - a feature (like so many) not supported by Prime. You will have to replace the two list boxes at the top for normal assignments. Also the data output component at the end is not supported by Prime. You will have to write out the data by other means.
Thankyou so much !
You can find Mathcad 15 trial version here: http://download.ptc.com/products/mathcad/trial/mc15/Mathcad15_EN.zip
Please find in attachment the following helpful resources:
1. Mathcad worksheet "Seismic response spectrum" from "DynamAssist - Structural Dynamics Toolbox" ebook for Mathcad (which is available here: http://www.dynamassist.com/).
2. Lecture "Application of Response Spectrum in Structural Engineering" including Mathcad program listings.
