Simplification of Circuit Equation. PTC 9

Hello

Hello ALL,
I am solving circuit with imaginary parts. Can you please reach out and help me solve it. The denominator of current equations is too long and I cant simplify it. and I cannot move further.

as my aim is to optimize circuit and I am having difficulty in achieveing it.

so the problem is:
1. Simplification of current equations then power and efficiency equations as pasted in screen shots
2. Optimizing efficiency, load and output power.

I have attached the screen shots as well as my Mathcad file.

Best,
MW

I guess your problem is down to the fact that Prime refuses to show results because they are too large. But you can still use those results. You could take the numerator and the denominator of an expression and work with those separately.

Know that 'simplify' isn't always the best choice to keep expressions small. You should try 'collect' with an appropriate symbol to collect the expression parts on.

Important to realise is that the output of the symbolic processor is generally hard to control: You can't always get what you want.

Success!

Luc

Hi Luc

Actually I tried collecting terms but no success in doing that.....I am aware of the limitations of the symbolic processor and thats why I asked for help from the experts.

Thanks anyways!
