Site with about 100 Mathcad Files for Textbook "Chemical Thermodynamics for Process Simulation"

Dear All,

please be invited to my site at http://www.ddbst.com/ChemThermo/default.html.

Under Problems-Solutions the site contains about 100 Mathcad documents (and their printouts as xps) for a large variety of physical property and mixture thermodynamics problems.

Some highlights are high precision equation of state calculations (Wagner Span type Helmholtz-equations), Residual curves for distillation design, solid-liquid equilibria, Real behavior in case of ammonia synthesis using different equations of state and the like.

I am happy if I can recieve some feedback. The files are in 2001-format currently....

best regards

Hello Juergen,

The interest in chemical engineering has been growing here on PlanetPTC Community. Your post is very timely. Perhaps you could post a few worksheets as examples of your work to give members an idea of what they will find? Here is where you can upload some of your great examples.

HarveyHensley has become the resident expert in recent months. Feel free to reach out to him. He is a great person to network with on the subject of chemical engineering.

Hello Dan,

thanks a lot for the reply. I am currently giving a full day course and will follow up on the weekend.

it is wonderful

Juergen and I have communicated through the Private Messages feature, but I wanted to correct Dan's comment about "resident expert"..."resident chemical engineer in love with Mathcad and not shy about it" is more accurate.  The expertise of many who help people solve their problems is very evident.  However, I think complete examples of engineering problems are an important means of both promoting the software in the chemical engineering community, and providing additional resources for training.

This set is a great contribution to the Chemical Engineering/Mathcad resources. Thanks for sharing with everyone.

wonderful,thanks for your post.

I am a graduate student from china,my major is chemical engineering, and my topic is related to VLE. Coincidentally,i choose mathcad to solve the problem.your post can do me a big favor.

i have read lots of literature written by you and Gmehling.

wow,It's my honor to get acquainted with you,a great master.

best regards

thank you very much 🙂
By the way, you live in an imressive country. Here a few photos from me in China:
