Solving an equation + inequality

If have two problems which are pretty similar.

a)

My function is f.ex f(x)=2+x+x^2

How do I solve the inequality f(x)<0?

b)My function is again f(x)=2+x+x^2

How do I solve the inequality f(x) ≥ 2/x

Don't know why the second inequ. does not solve with your "+2".
