Say I have an equation of:
Cc = 78.4232/(acosh(1+5.05/Cc)+acosh(1+12.85/Cc)
I know how to calculate this through a calculator but not through any means of mathcad tricks. Please help! I'm new to mathcad. (P.S. I've went to many forums and when people also ask about these kind of questions the answers are ALWAYS telling them to simplify the equation by hand (not through mathcad) and then use mathcad to solve. e.g.
x = sqrt(12.85/5.05)*(78.4232-x)^2
you could do so:
Otherwise you can calculate the root in this way:
Three Methods you could use in Mathcad come to mind:
1) symbolic solve (may fail for more complicated equations)
2) A numeric solve block (looks differently if you are using Prime)
3) The numeric root command with its two flavors.
Of course with all three you can assign the result to a variable (as usual with :=) for further use
When I replied to this it showed no replies. When my reply was posted it showed three other replies. And there are numerous posts from many years ago showing up, as well as posts about Creo and other products. I hope this gets resolved when the community reorganization is complete.
Why, oh why would you think this will get better?
What evidence have you seen that anybody cares?
(Sorry! Bad weekend.)
