Impressive win rate!

What's the source for the letter frequency in five-letter words?

Here's my score after 20 trials on:

https://www.wordleunlimited.com

with just three words, the successive topscorers "arose" (120 points) and "until" (95 points) followed by "hyper" (84 points) if needed:

I guess the distribution is not much different from yours.

My score against NYT Wordle, only 1/day so it will change very slowly

3Blue1Brown on youtube has a few good videos on solving Wordle.  (no mathcad, (but lots of animations))

Follow-up: Any tips on... Nerdle?

There's a lot of interest on Wordle.  I was looking to see if there was a way to improve the chances of winning.  Clearly using guesses that contain the "most frequently used" letters and that use letters not already guessed will improve your guesses.  There's no clear "best" answer, and a lot of your success will depend on your vocabulary.

There is no "solution" here; I was merely playing with the statistics.

The best way to start is to simply type in any equation that fits the spaces provided. Of course the 1st entry is always a guess, so take the feedback given, just like Wordle, and make another equation fit. Not much more to it than that. After the first couple games, if you're good with math, you'll end-up taking no more than 3 tries to solve the equation. I've found Nerdle orders of magnitude easier than Wordle, since once you know about half of the entries, there's really not dozens (or hundreds) of opportunities like Wordle - just make sure you don't need to solve the equation in exact order - set it so 2+3 is scored the same as 3+2 (I believe that's the default setting anyway).

Enjoy!

Today's Nerdle was just stupid.

Spoiler
I thought it'd be a three digit number divided by a one digit to get a two digit, but no, there was multiplication and then DIVIDING BY ONE just to fill the space. I don't like that at all. I only tried to put multiplication in there because nothing else could work with the numbers I had.

Then there is Primel (converged.yt)

This will be a good one for Mathcad
