I'm trying to convert an old MCD file to the XMCD format -- but the converter fails with the message "Could not start mathcad conversion process"
How can I convert this file so that I can use it with 'PTC Mathcad prime' ?
Which version of Prime are you using?
Apart from that, look here: https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad-Installation/Error-quot-Conversion-failed-Could-not-start-Mathcad-conversion/m-p/707518#M49
Success!

I have tried running mathcad as an administrator and the same error occurs.
If you are truly running Express--you're past the free 30 day full evaluation period, then the converter has been disabled; the message should read, "This is a premium feature, you have to give us money every year to use it."
For me it reads:
Yeah, me too,
But we know what they meant! 🙂
Much appreciated, thank you.
