Use of workcenter and workcell template

What is main use of work center and work cell template since both have Equipment thing template. Can someone explain ?

I would like to understand where does these 2 functionalities (i.e. work center and work cell) come into play in Thingworx Manufacturing Apps. I could see both of these uses PTC.ISA95.EquipmentThingTemplate as its base template but unsure of its usage and application. Kindly advice if you have any inputs on this.
