Modeling 20.7 freezes after dragging .mi drawing into Annotation
Hello everyone,
My colleague has a problem with Creo Elements Direct Modeling 20.7.0.0.
When he tries to drag a .mi drawing from the fileexplorer into Annotation he get's a notification that says "checking the data" and the program freezes.
He is the only one in our team that is experiencing this problem.
Opening drawings by using "file - open" does work.
The computer has had a fresh windows 11 installation but the problem still occures.
We work with just the basic version of Creo. So no modelmanager or whatsoever.
Is there anyone that knows how to fix this?
My sincerely.

Hi,
1. Check if a current graphics driver is installed.
2. If you have a notebook with an onboard graphics card, this could be the cause. Use a dedicated graphics card and disable the onboard card.
3. Try using the environment variable GRAPHICS_LIBRARY_GDI=1 (or 0).
