ProDesktop .des files

I've got a couple of old .des files (created with ProDesktop 2001 I believe), I'd love to be able to use these models again because they have a lot of sentimental value, I was wondering if there was any way of converting them to a modern common format such as .3ds or Wavefront .obj?

Pro|DESKTOP has a number of export formats, the list below is from the last release of Pro|DESKTOP (V8 SP2).Check which formats the software you want to use imports, and use one of those. STEP and IGES are the most commonly use neutral formats.

If you teach in a middle or secondary school you can get PTC's latest 3D modeller, Creo FREE. www.ptcschools.com

wondering if it is possible to get *.des files converted if i haven't ever had Pro/Desktop?

I have ascii des files with the following header info...

    GGDeScRiPtIoNEN75.0000E 1181.84F

They are very small files. just trying to verify that i have pro/desktop files.
