Using the animation function in Creo

In Creo Parametric, there is an application called Animate. Is it possible to do other animations besides exploding the model? If there is, how would it be achieved on a tetrix assembly in creo?

In short, Animation allows you to save a series of saved views in a timeline. It then creates an animation by interpolating between each view.

If you are working with robots, you most likely do not want this but rather Mechanism. Using Mechanism, you can assemble components using mechanism connections (pins, slots, cylinders, etc), apply motors and other connections (gears, belts, etc). After the model is setup, you create an analysis in which motors and connections are used to show your assembly in motion.

Please check out the Creo Help Center for more information on Design Animation. You can find the detailed description of all the capabilities by navigating to Creo Parametric, Simulation, Design Animation or simply running a quick search for "design animation".

There's also some great videos in YouTube if you search for "design animation".

If you are still interested. I have created a quick how to video that shows how to control mechanism joints with servos as well as views and bringing that all into ANIMATE. It is not your tetris problem but you shoud beable to figure it out from the video
