Is it possible to skip the installation of Microsoft.NET during installation of Mathcad Prime?

Mathcad Prime installation needs Microsoft.NET 4.6.2 or a later version of .NET that Microsoft certifies is a replacement for 4.6.2
So, Mathcad installer ensures that such a version is installed and if not present on the machine, it initiates the .NET framework installation.

  • User cannot skip the .NET installation and proceed with Mathcad Prime installation.
    • It is mandatory to have version of .NET Framework installed

 

Additional info:

  • Microsoft.NET certified replacements should cover all functions of the previous release and therefore can be installed
  • Different versions of Microsoft.NET can coexist
