I noticed today that the bulletins listed on the eSupport page are very old. These should probably expire (disappear) after a certain amount of time.

Thanks for the heads up. This is indeed stale content, and could be misleading. I‘ve gone in just now and expired all bulletins in eSupport which were published prior to 2016 (all product tabs).They will be removed from view with the next web refresh (within the hour).
On the same topic, changes are coming in way we alert customers to issues which are relevant to them. With the new web platform later this year, we're planning to have a tailored carousel of notifications in each customer's home page, which will also be much more visual than what we have today.
