Assembly behavior

You are right - it is a big deal for many users.

Unfortunately, we don't know of a config setting dedicated to the "hidden search path" behavior (so it does not impact other things), but it is apparently associated with the "no resolve mode" capability.

If you opt to go back to the old resolve mode (regen_failure_handling resolve_mode), it should stop the "hidden search path" behavior.

The question is then - are you willing to live without "no resolve mode"?

Perhaps PTC will provide a better alternative, or help us better understand the relationship that prevents improvements.

Regards,

Terry Partridge

Wow, this is a big change. When did this behavior start? Is there any documentation? I always assume that when I erase something from memory it is erased, no links hiding in the shadows. I think I'm willing to live with resolve_mode rather than smoke & mirrors.
