We are in the early stages of development on Windchill and need to have users test checking AutoCAD and Solidworks files in and out of Windchill. However we are not ready for production and want to keep things separated. The Windchill Workgroup Manager automatically opens whenever either CAD application is started and tends to want our users to save everything into the Windchill Workspaces.
AutoCAD appears to have no option to turn off the add-in and while Solidworks does, selecting it causes a crash of the program and it starts all over again.
My only option so far is to have my test users uninstall the workgroup manager or de-register the CAD application. Not ideal, but it does seem to work.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Can it be made to come on only when you want it?
