Creo 3.0 Save

Creo 3.0 Save

We are working off a network file structure. When retrieving most assemblies, part files are pulled via search_paths from multiple directories. In Creo 2.0 when saving a file in part mode a dialog pops up showing the file to be saved, but also the directory the file came from. In Creo 3.0 the file just saves with no dialog box. Is there a way to get the dialog box back, or what is the easiest way to determine which directory the part file came from?

Take a look at the config option "save_dialog_for_existing_models". Changing this to "yes" should fix your issue.

You can also use the 'display_full_object_path' config option to include the path in the window header for opened items; I think it can also be a column in the assy model tree - use database params: PROI_LOCATION (don't need PROI)
