I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0
Creo 9.05 Will not allow me to export to a pdf file. I had no issues in Creo 9.04 and below. The program goes though all the steps, even with naming the file. Click save and nothing happens.
No error message.
I had no problems creating PDFs of my active drawing in Creo 9.0.5.0. I did the first with Print the active sheet and then selected Adobe PDF as my printer. The second I did as a Quick Export. Both methods created a PDF file in my working directory.
Using the print to PDF, you need to change the settings all the time. To many steps and does not print the entire sheet.
You can save your printer setup. You can automate most of it with a mapkey if you desire.
If you are not getting the full sheet, you likely missed a setting.
I fixed the issue faster then PTC Support help. I still haven't haven't been contacted by support. I'm glad that I pay for that support. Issue was resolved by deleting all the files, restarting and reinstalled. So done with PTC!
@ptc-222482 Other than this community post, you did go back to the tech support page and redo the support request to get a tech support ticket going right?
We've told PTC many times that for users, the tech support or community post is confusing and users think they are opening a tech support request but end up only posting to the community.
I'm not using creo 9 but we do have problems sometimes "exporting" pdf's on our largest drawings. The solution is always to print to PDF using either the built in windows "microsoft pdf printer" or with other 3rd party PDF printing tools.
We work one A0 to A2 drawing sizes with five sheets. Never had an issue until now.
