Hi,
ist there a silent install command line option for installing the Creosetup via software distribution?
Thanks
Hi Peter...
Just to clarify... are you asking if there's a command line installation that can be added to your company's daily "push" of software from a centralized location so that all workstations receive Creo Elements/View?
We have a technique at my company which involves a self-installation users can perform for Creo Elements/Pro. Our procedure could be turned into an automatic command line function. This would require us to generate a small dos script. The command line function could simply execute this DOS program to perform the installation. I'm not sure if the same thing could be done with Creo Elements/View. We haven't tried that.
Basically the installation for Creo Elements/Pro or Creo Parametric can be done without running the setup executable and running through the installation wizard. There's not a specific command line function to perform this. Instead, we perform the manual installation on a test workstation. Then we gather up all the files created from the installation and copy them to the various target workstations. A simple desktop shortcut runs the copied files. This works perfectly.
As I said, we don't do this with Creo Elements/View, but perhaps you could try it and see if it works? If so, you have your answer... make a brief script that copies the entire installation to your target workstations and adds a desktop shortcut.
Write back if this doesn't make sense... let us know what happens.
Thanks!
