Creo/proe save as jt format. not in save as window

I was trying to get some Jt files to get some ideas on interfacing with NX.
The problem is that the creo I installed does not seem to have a save as
option. if I go to the options menu there are some check boxes that mention
JT on there but I did not see anything like "check here to allow making
jts" or some similar thing.

but everyone presenting us the creo and pdm system keeps insisting that it
should be in creo by default with no extra licenses or bundled software.

Can anyone shed some light on this? is there a check box i'm missing or
config file that i don't have or maybe there is a license required that
everyone is lying about?

thanks

Alfonso

I don't have a Save As .jt format either.
One thing you need to understand is that the .jt format is a light-weight surface model only representation of your model. If you need to open the file in NX, it will only be the surfaces, no solid body. I did notice .x_t, Parasolid format, is available. This would be a better option for getting a solid model into NX. If that doesn't work, STEP or IGES are next in the order.

Hi,
The Creo Help Center states: You require the INTF_for_JT license to use the JT interface.
I do not have the .jt in my save as list either, so it seems a license is needed.

Bjarne is correct, there is a separate Interface for JT license option needed. This license option number (sorry, don't have that number handy) would go into the PSF file,,which then adds the JT Save As option.

my ptcstatus say :

INTF_for_JT* 1 0 (epetersen@EPetersen-8730w) 263 epetersen-8730w 7788 3213

so it is 263.

Hi all,

In addition to having a license you have to install 'JT Interface' ...

Take a look at the picture of the installation screen.

Feliks.
