Error when logging into Pro/E

I receive the following error when tring to log into Pro/E (WF4, 9.1). And it won't allow me to connect to the server. Any ideas?

Wildfire cache located at "C:\Documents and Settings\svarieur\Application Data\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf\.cache2008\fdwindchill.tycosp.net" couldn't be loaded

Thanks Steve

To correct this issue:
· Rename cache directory (.wf).
1. Locate cache directory (.wf),
· For Windows 7 Operating system: Cache directory is available at <drive>:\<users>\<user login=">\Appdata\Roaming\PTC\wildfire\
· For Windows XP Operating Sytem: Cache directory is available at <drive>:\Users\<user login=">\Local Settings\Application Data\PTC\wildfire\
2. Rename .wf to some other name e.g. old_wildfire
3. Launch application.

Hello this method will erase all the new part and erase all the modified parts ,

Is there any other way to fix this issue , please suggest

Would this keep any data that hasn't been uploaded yet?

No

You should use the config.pro option to upload upon save automatically to preserve all of your data from local cache errors.

dm_upload_objects automatic

Thank you,

To Ben’s point, that’s what we do. It works well. That way you can wipe the .wf with no loss of data. One thing to keep in mind, if you are using PDMLink you will want to clear your vaults of unreferenced files more frequently.
