Installation Error When Entering Sales Order Number (SON) During Creo Setup

Hello,

I am currently trying to install Creo on a new PC, but I am encountering an error during the installation process. Despite following the standard installation procedure, the software fails to complete the setup successfully.

Specifically, the error occurs when I enter the Sales Order Number (SON) during the license setup.
I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you could provide to help resolve this issue.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Whenever there are installation problems, especially with a new license, you are best off if you talk to whoever sold you the license(s). They are dealing with setting up licenses every day and likely know how to deal with problems.

For my dealings with licenses, I've never use a sales order number during the installation process. The method I use is as follows:

(1) Log in to your PTC eSupport account. You can set up one of these accounts if you don't have one. It's been a long long time, but I think that sales order number will allow you to do this.

(2) Go into the license management area and request a license file for your sales order number or whatever. The website has been updated recently so I'm not sure the exact means of getting to this stuff, but you can find it.

(3) Use this file when installing the license manager.

When you install the license management via the PTC FlexLM installation tools, it modifies the license file you downloaded, filling in the critical information for your setup (server hostname, path to server software, etc.)

Thank you for sharing your experience and advice regarding license installation.
I agree that contacting the license vendor directly is often the most efficient way to resolve installation issues, especially with new licenses. In my case, entering the license code directly into the license entry field worked perfectly, and the installation was completed successfully.
Your method using the PTC eSupport portal and FlexLM tools is very helpful. I’ll keep it in mind for future installations or troubleshooting.
Thanks again for your support and insights.
