Issue with License Activation via License Indicator – Status "Not Eligible"

Dear PTC Support Team,

I am reaching out for assistance with an issue I’m experiencing while trying to activate a license using your License Indicator. I received an order number from my university and have been trying to generate a valid license based on that.

While I am able to request the license and it does appear in my files, the status is always shown as “Not Eligible.” I have already attempted several steps to resolve the issue, including:

  • Deleting and reinstalling the license files

  • Creating a new PTC account with a different email address

  • Reinstalling the software entirely

Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and the license remains unusable.

I would appreciate your support in resolving this. If you require any additional information, such as the order number or screenshots, I will be happy to provide them.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Hi @LK_13278604

You may try information in article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS343103

I hope this will help.

Thanks

Hi,

1.]

BK100908EDSTUDENTEDUNI code enables you to install and run Creo Parametric up to 10.0 version.

2.]

BK100908EDSTUDENTEDUNI_license.dat contains locked license, because of that you must not install license manager as described in CS343103.

3.]

The described problem may be caused by the license file being generated for an incorrect network card MAC address.

To confirm this, I need to see the contents of your license file as well as the output of the ipconfig /all command.

Open Command prompt window, run ipconfig /all > ip.txt command and upload ip.txt file.
