Good day,
our server that has flexnet on it recently crashed.
We' have reestablished it but then Creo no longer worked. One thing I thought might be the issue is that the newly restored server has a new MAC address. it did turn out that that was the case, so I went online and requested our licenses to be switched over to the new address.
we then updated the license on flexnet, however, when I try to run Creo on my local machine, I get this error:
an issue related to foundation visualization. I'm honestly not quite sure what that is for. Seems to be related to windchill?
We've tried everything and just can't get it to work (including reinstalling flexnet).
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.
When I remove it from the .dat file, i get this message when i start Creo:
in the psf file, there is only one line where PROE_FoundationVis mentioned:
ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_FoundationVis ()
when i comment it out (//), I get this:
We haven't changed anything, so I'm not sure why we're having this problem. we just restored the server reinstalled flexnet. we've never used windchill.
Thanks
Hi,
replace ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_FoundationVis () line
with ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_EssentialsI PROE_EssentialsII () line.
Note:
Check "old" license file ... maybe PROE_FoundationVis has 34.0 version assigned instead of 31.0.
What version of Creo are you trying to run? This license file appears to be for Creo 3.0.

Hi,
yes we're using 3.0 (M030).

Oh, I missed it the first time I looked at the picture. The 'PROE_FoundationVis' line is for Wildfire 5.0. You either need to update that license or remove it from Creo's configuration.

Note no.1:
It's weird that PROE_FoundationVis is "out of maintenance" ... its cost is zero.
Note no.2:
I guess they do not use Windchill.
Note no.3:
They can remove PROE_FoundationVis license code from license.dat file.
Note no.4:
They can remove PROE_FoundationVis name from parametric.psf file.
Thanks for the feedback.
