On the issue of importing images from format templates

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0

After importing images through object OLE in the format template, the image cannot be displayed when opened again, and even after creating a drawing template using the format template, the image cannot be displayed. What is the reason? How can I import PNG images with transparent backgrounds into the format template file?

it is not clear from your post if using transparency on import is part of the problem. This may help with the transparent background issue.

Thank you for answering my question. My main problem is how to insert a PNG image with a transparent background in the format file. I saw that it is possible to insert a PNG image with a transparent background in the drawing file, but in the format file, it seems that the image can only be inserted through OLE by inserting objects. I imported it through the built-in drawing software on my computer, and the background has become opaque and pure white.

The above two images are the appearance of imported images in a format file. The transparent background of the image has changed to a white background

The above image was imported from a drawing file with a transparent background

Hi,

ask PTC support to let you know if it is possible to instert png in a format with a transparent background.

I guess such functionality is not implemented and you will have to use drawing template instead of format.

That's a bit regrettable... But thank you for your reply!
