Plotting, Win7 x64, HP 1055CM
Hello,
Just upgraded to a Win7, x64 box from XP Pro, x32 and I'm having issues
plotting to our HP 1055CM plotter. For the moment we are running 32 bit
versions of Pro/E WF3 & WF4. 64 bit is to be installed later.
IT tells me that there are not drivers for the HP 1055 CM. Instead, we
get HPs "Instant Printing Utility". I did not think this would be an
issue, however, since we plot from Pro/E directly over the network to
its IP address using this command:
lpr -S "<ip.address> -P <ip.address>"
However, this doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's a Win7 issue or a 64
bit issue.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks,
Doug Schaefer

Doug,
We had some issues with Print Drivers from HP and we found that the Vista
drivers will work in some cases. For one of our printers, we tried the
drivers for a different model in the same series and they also worked.
You may want to try some of these drives to see if you have any luck.
We are running WF4 M140 64-bit on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with no
issues. I am upgrading next week to Wildfire 5 64-bit.
Good Luck
