ProMold question when using catalog...

Good morning,
I have been starting to use ProMold for more of my work and really
like it compared to the old way. But I am running into a situation when
machining the mold. When I am in ProNC and using the Hole sequence I can not
select holes that are created using the catalog for ejector pins by Diameter
or axis. I have to go and create the axis for each hole so that I can
continue with the hole sequence.

I am a lot slower on the ProNC side since I can not select by diameter for
holes. Am I missing something or is this a bug with ProMold not creating
axis and hole diameter info so that ProNC can use it? Is there a config
option I need to turn on?

Thanks.

Nope, when you create cuts with the ejector pin surfaces, ProNC doesn't recognize them as holes. I use Auto Axis(toolkit) when I have a lot of hole that need to be drilled.

I think that you should set the following intersect options, when you
create your holes.

Autoaxis is the answer for your problem. Very cool stuff!

And it is free.

Does AutoAxis work in WF5 ? I had it working back when I was in WF3 but it
won't load in WF5.

It cames a the C source in WF CD/DVD, but needs to be compiled using
toolkit libraries. I have it for WF3. Maybe someone here with a toolkit
license could compile it for us for WF4 and WF5.

Thanks, That's what I thought Daniel. Obviously I don't have the compiler or
toolkit libraries to fix it.

Awesome!

The "show feature properties in sub-models"click works great. Now does anybody know if there is a config option that will make that the default? Also I have to change the assembly cuts from top level to part level every time. What about a config option for that?

Thanks in advace for the help!

Well,

Pro/Toolkit also evolves from release to release so it seems that in
many situations you need to recompile the source with the latest
libraries from the release you are using...

I'm sure if we start a thread in the customization forum someone can
help.

Daniel

Yeah... this would be great....
I really need this. Especially if you import iges/step/parasolid to pro/e
If some could compile it for WF5 32&64bit... I really want to share it with
me..

best regards

So, I think that someone who has some knowledge about pro/tk, should
open a thread on the customization forum asking for this executable.
