Hello,
I have a Student License for Creo 2.0 and it worked when I first installed it. I don't remember the licensing process, but I know that in that process a license file was generated, because I still have it. I thought that for reinstalling I only had to use that file and the licensing would be done, but the truth is that it only asks me for a code, but I don't think I have it. What should I do?
Thanks in advance,
Francisco
You can directly contact with PTC's technical support: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/forms/index.jsp?&im_dbkey=142574&icg_dbkey=482
Francisco,
the license file generated during Student Edition installation is saved into %APPDATA%\PTC\Licensing directory (by default). Its name is similar to xxxSTUDENTyyy_license.dat.
If you saved the license file before reinstallation, then you can use it during installation.
I you lost the license file, then you can install Student Edition from cratch. Try to start at http://www.ptc.com/company/community/schools/download/
Fill the form, click Download Now and wait for a while ... you will receive email containing detailed instructions.
Good luck

Thanks for the responses guys. Turns out all I needed was to drag and drop the license file to the lower field of the License Setup page. I didn't need the code.
Cheers,
Francisco
