I am thinking about building a home computer to run CAD. Does anyone know whick chipset is better LGA1150 vrs. 2011?

The choice depends heavily on what you will do with it.
In many of these appraisals, it is really hard to pin down as there are too many variables.
My personal feeling is to look for a setup that is about 80% through it's design life to weed out initial production stupids, and to cut the price. This means running 6 to 8 months after the initial release. It's not the cutting edge, but no matter what you buy it will be off-peak in less than 6 months. No use in paying top dollar. Similar concept applies to motherboard, graphics card, et al.
