Redefining / rerouting external references in assemby mode.....

Hello all,

I am have a problem redefining / rerouting missing part references that were created in an assembly.

If I delete a component in an assembly that providesa featurereferencewithin anotherpart then the part feature will fail as expected when the part regenerates. My problem is that when this happens the system is not allowing me to redefine / reroute the part feature references in the assembly window where I can fix the problem. It expects me to redefine / reroute within the part window which isn't possible.

I'm sure this is probably a configuration option or something like that as I have had this functionality with previous installations of proe. If anybody could point me in the right direction to solve this issue I would be most appreciative.

I am using creo elements/proe 5.0. Date code: m130.

Can you leave it failed in part mode, then activate the part in the assy and redefine there?
