On the 12th my system got "upgraded" to I.E. 9. Today I noticed that some internal web applications were not working properly with 9.
So I wanted to download and reinstall 8.
Microsoft doesn't have a download of I.E. 8 for windows 7.
In order to get your win 7 box back to 8 you have to have to uninstall I.E. 9
Go to the Control Panel, Programs & Features, Pick on View Installed Updates, and then pick on the I.E. 9 update and uninstall it. Reboot the system.
After the system comes up I.E. will be on version 8.
It seems counter intuitive. You expect that the update to 9 would have wiped out 8 and you would have to download it again. But that's not how it works.
