thanks to all who replied. adding the config.pro option “ecad_pin_hole_import” and setting to “yes” solved my problem. interestingly, i didnt have the option in my config.pro before, so it was set to the default value of “no”. but in wf3.0, the import dialog still allowed me to manually select pin hole import (which i must have done when i imported the old rev of the board file). wf5.0 removed that option, and so my config.pro grows...
