Connecting to Robotiq end effectors in Thingworx

I'm working on a project which requires me to remotely control a Robotiq brand end effector attached to a URe3 six axis robot. I've been looking into ways to do this through Thingworx, which I already use to remotely control the robot. From what little I can find I need to run a python script to send a script file defining the end effector functions and what to execute as noted on this Robotiq community post. Is there a way I can host the script file on and execute python code in Thingworx?

These scenarios usually leverage the ThingWorx Edge agent, that you would install on the effector or a gateway.

If your ThingWorx server has access to the effector, you could put the Edge agent on the server itself (uncommon but possible)
