Custom CSS issues on Mashups made using Legacy Composer

Strange issues while adding custom CSS to mashups which were made using the Legacy Composer.

I tried to add some custom styling to some widgets inside a mashup that were actually authored using the Legacy Composer and later edited in the New Composer. Although the Custom Class gets added to the the widget top div, the styles does not gets attached.  But this completely works fine if the mashup is authored using 

Scenario 1

Mashup authored in Legacy Composer and edited in New Composer.

Result: Custom class getting added but styles are not getting added. Hence the Mashup does not have the necessary styling.

Class got added but styles did not. As a result panel does not show rounded corner

Scenario 2:

Mashup authored in New Composer and edited in New Composer.

Result: CustomClass getting added as well as the styles are getting added.

Questions:

1. Is this a know issue?

2. Is it true that a mashup that was originally authored using the Legacy Composer cannot to edited to put Custom CSS using the New Mashup?

3. If Q1 and Q2 are true, Is there any documentation mentioning the same?

I was not able to reproduce this. Could you please share the export of your Legacy-created mashup to see if the import will show the problem on my side?
