Is there any documentation on the best practices for designing permissions?
Thanks,

I have found my answers here: Project visibility/design/runtime permission inheritance
You can do a search on the Community, I have some Blog posts.
I think if you go to support.ptc.com you will find some articles as well.
Hi Pai,
This is how i would like to design the permissions for my system:
I see that Organizations are to be used when designing Visibility permissions - although i don't see clearly yet the impact of these.
I would like to create Users and then add these to Groups, then i would like to add the Groups to units within the Organizations. I understand how all of this can be done.
I then want to use the Organization to design permissions per projects. I dont want to design for individual entities. I just want to be able to take a group and grant the required permissions for the full contents of a project. is there a quick way i can achieve this?
Do you have any thoughts on this approach?
Andy

Great, if you don't need Visibility, you don't need organizations, unless you want to use the FormLogin
