Disable certain generic services to be called via REST

There are few services that are inherited from generic services that I want to disable to be accessed via Rest call. For example PurgeAllPropertyHistory, DeleteThing

Is there a way to achieve it. In Thingworx 8

Hi Venkatesh, have you tried restricting access to these services via the overrides? You can override the access rights possessed by the Groups/User of each service like so, more on this is covered here : Service Overrides

Please do correct me if I have got your use case wrong.
