Display series average on line chart

I have a line chart displaying time series values. I would like to overlay an average (or max or min) on the chart so the user does not have to compute this. Is there an easy way inside the chart widget?

Is it not possible to iterate through the data source using a service and output the value you want to show through the chart title or a value display widget?

I don't know, that is why I asked. Seems like a lot of complication for something so simple...but maybe that is just how Thingworx is. I will try it.
