Edge client authentication beyond SSL and AppKeys?

Hi,

 

ThingWorx custom authenticator allows for delegation of authentication activities to a 3rd party Identity Provider. Which can be used for expanding the authentication mechanism which are potentially beyond the SSL / AppKey / Username and password based auth.

 

However, I'm not able to find similar possibilities with Edge SDK for instance C SDK. Is it possible to extend or override available auth functions under twApi?

Hi @bootstrap.

 

We're not clear on your scenario.  Can you provide more information on your use case?

 

The ThingWorx SDK's were designed to authenticate with the ThingWorx platform using an appKey.  What authentication method are you trying to use?
