Error Executing Event Handler <SubscriptionName> for event Type.Thing:<ThingName>:Event.Timer

We have a timer which will look for new files in a folder and process them for every 15 mins. It's working fine and all of a sudden stopped working with the above error message in Application Log.

Timer is enabled, subscription is enabled and restarted the thing and timer couple of time but still same error and files are not getting processed. Other the above message, I can't find any other log trace.

Can someone help me to understand what might be causing the issue and how to debug it.

Have you recently made any changes to the system (any upgrade or something )?

You can check security log and also the Run As User needs to have Event Subscribe Permissions.

Let me know if it doesn't resolve the problem.
