GUID Purpose and Uses

Hello all,

The GUID property type allows for any string assignment as there are different formats that GUID can take. I am therefore wondering what distinguishes the GUID property type from the String property type. Are there different services or widgets that work only with GUIDs?

It's exactly the same, and don't use GUID as in 6.5 there's a bug which prevents on using it correctly.

Even I had faced the same problem while using GUID base type and could not differentiate it with String base type.

It would be better if you use String base type.
